Cream Puffs

I decided to be ambitious today and not only clean the bathroom and do laundry but to make carmels and cream puffs. I got the carmel's done..hopefully they taste good.... they are cooling off, now I am just waiting for the puffs to cook, they looked kinda funny I went by the recipe so I guess we'll see how they turn out. We are having the missionaries over for dinner tomorrow so I thought I would try something I haven't before, plus I make them today and they suck then I still have time to get something else.
Cale recently decided that he wants to join the Army national guard He has always wanted to join the military but because of his asthma he was told he wouldn't qualify....Well, thanks to a wonderful Dr and fabulous insurance he has been taking Adair for the last few months, He went to the Dr to get a new prescription for it (crap I was supposed to fill that today) and he said that he no longer "technically" has asthma. YEA!!! He has been running every night with a friend of his who's helping him train to get in. They run 2 miles, Cale hasn't been able to really run hard without wheezing and using his inhaler, I am proud to say he ran a full mile yesterday without stopping and walking walked the other mile cause he pulled a muscle in his leg earlier that day and couldn't run on it any more. So he is determined to make it he only needs to lose about 4-5 inches around to get in so we'll see, how it goes, worse case scenario he doesn't meet the requirements when they do the physical and he's still lost weight, so either way its a win win for him.
Since Cale is trying to lose weight and we are hardcore dieting, we decided that we would buy a scale that way we can stay motivated and be good. Anyway I was just going to buy they cheap $10 one at Walmart, when I saw this fancy smancy one that does all kinds of stuff like tell you how many lbs of water you have and fat percentage. Funny story, we decided to play around with it last night and weighted ourselves. well it weighed us like 30 40 lbs lighter than what we know we are it kept weighing us less and less talk about an awesome scale. We were beginning to think it was broke and we would have to take it back when it dawns on me that we had put it on the carpet. anyway needless to say put it on the linoleum and it was accurate, darn it I was so hoping that I was really 120 lbs LOL.

Congrats Cale. Running is not easy and a mile is awesome. Good luck and just keep with it.

Sharon, we just made cream puffs about a week ago. They turned out good but the filling the recipe had on it was only heavy cream whipped and we didn't like it. We needed more sugar. We will have to try it again with a more sweet filling. Hope your turned out good.

They actually turned out ok, for the filling I used Vanilla pudding and 1 cup of milk with 2 cups whipping cream. It wasn't too sweet just right. Hows the house selling going?

HAHAHA! Ryan always checks his weight with the scale on the bathroom rug. I told him that's not how it works. But whatever makes him happy... hahaha!
