Alaska
Alright this is WAY late in being posted, I started it 2 months ago and just realized I never posted it or even really finished it. So here it is better late than never, I guess.
Ok so just before we got the kids Cale applied for a job in Juneau Alaska and they called him back the same day, liked what they heard. Asked for his references and then about a week after we got the kids they called and offered him the job talk about bad timing. So my mom came and stayed with the kids for a few days while we flew to Juneau to check it out. Met them they were AWESOME, Cale really wants to work there. but there were 2 hang ups 1 they didn't offer him enough $$$ if we moved up there I would have to work and he might need an additional part time job, which is no big deal, we would have made that work. But the biggest thing was he would have to be gone up there by himself for probablly close to a year at least because we can't move the kids out of state until they are adopted and since there are a few complications right now, that might not happen till next spring or summer. But we LOVED it up there and have decided that we would really like to move there, the cost of living isn't that much more than here, except housing is OUTRAGEOUS. But other than that its not too bad. So after much debate he ended up turning the job down though we are looking for work over there, we want to end up in either Spokane or Juneau so we'll have to see what happens. Turning it down was probablly one of the hardest things we have had to do so far.
We totally found heaven on earth, the people were awesome, loved the weather ( yes we know its different in the winter) The scenery was to die for. I can't even begin to explain how clean it was, the air was amazing, Everything was very spread out but they had a Walmart, Fred Meyer, Costco, home depot, Safeway, along with other smaller stores. We absolutely loved it. Here's just some random pics we took enjoy. Sorry they aren't in any particular order.

Oh my goodness - those icebergs are so BLUE! What a beautiful place! It looks like such a fun, quaint downtown area too!
