I survived !!!

ok I have totally slacked off with blogging, but hey I had surgery, thats as good excuse as any right. Actually I have been doing pretty good so far. everyone told me how bad it was going to be afterwards pain wise so I tried to stay on top of my pain meds, big mistake I was so sick, apparently not only do I not do vicadin but I don't do oxy either. Once I quit taking that I have been fine. The one thing I was absolutely terrifed about (other than waking up in the middle of everything) was getting my IV, those who know me well know I HATE needles in fact the nurses at my Dr's always try and use the little baby needles when they take blood. I had never had an IV before so this was like totally traumatic for me. Cale was so sweet he turned a movie on for me on the laptop and held my hand. I am proud to say I made it and didn't even shed one tear. Afterwards in recovery I was totally annoyed because all these people who came in after I did left like way earlier than me. I wanted to leave but I was so sick from everything I couldn't hardly move with out throwing up, so lucky me didn't get to leave until like 6 pm. I actually made it all the way home and to our front door before I got sick again. I am actually doing amazing well no pain really unless I do something dumb. had a dr appointment last tuesday to get my cast, I had a heavy massive plaster one before that, he said that everything looked good enough that he put me in a smaller cast, if I promised to behave and I go back the end of July and they'll xray it and if it looks good then I will be cast free YEA!!! sure beats 2-3 months of a cast up past my elbow and then 2-3 months with a smaller one with a brace for 6-9 months after that. So whenever I get frustrated with how limited I am, I remind myself it could be soo much worse. I feel very blessed that things have gone so well. I survived my first IV, surgery, and stitches all at 30 years old. Not bad. Of course this whole experience wouldn't be complete w/o pix so ciurtesy of my loving husband who wanted to make sure we documented everything.
I am just adding them all together, this whole typing one handed thing is time consuming.
Some might think they're gross but all I can say is you looked.
the smile is due to the first round of knock out meds, I was totally trippin.Cale loves the camera the dr took these out before they put the cast on it hurt so bad I seriously wanted to cry
